November 2012

We are officially in the autumn season. The kids are into their school routines, football is played & watched, leaves are crunching underfoot and the sweatshirts have been become a regular part of the wardrobe.
There are quite a few happenings in November that we need to be aware of~
Move your clock back one hour when you go to bed Saturday night, November 3. When you're checking your smoke alarms don't forget to check your carbon monoxide detectors as well!

Remember your vote counts! Be an informed voter!
Ladies: The RESCUE Church DIVAS will meet Friday, November 9 at 6 pm at the Flandreau Campus. This is open to all our campuses and the community. This month's theme is "Through the Decades!" Your challenge is to dress in your favorite decade clothes and accessories! Maybe your favorite character from the 1930s film Wizard of Oz or Gone with the Wind. I think I know at least a few that would go back to the 80s hair if they could! Have fun with it and be creative. You are welcome to bring your yearbooks and favorite photos too! We will be collecting items to donate to the bread basket this month. This is not only a great way to meet other women but you can help prepare the goodies that we share each month. Contact Brianna (jbvoneye@hotmail.com) if you can help out any month.

These men and women have sacrificed to ensure your freedom.
Take the time everyday to be thankful for every little thing in your life. Your family, church, friends, health, life, purpose, job, food, clothing, shelter and most of all new life in Christ!

Looking back:
Volunteers from both Colman and Flandreau campus as well as from the Flandreau Indian School worked two days beautifying The Breadbasket which serves Moody County.
