This newsletter comes on the heels of the tragic shooting in Colorado. The RESCUE Church put their message series on hold as Pastor Jon was led to address the question on many people's minds - Where was God during all of this?!. You can hear the message here. We pray not only for the victims and their families but the shooter and his family.
The annual Hot Dog Day was held in Flandreau on July 13. A willing group of people came to help clean out our basement (THANK YOU!) and display the items for a free will donation rummage sale. All of the proceeds were given to The Wholeness Center, a non-profit organization that serves Moody County providing confidential, free services to victims of
domestic violence and sexual assault.
Our most recent CLASS 101 - Discovering Church Membership had 13 attendants. It's so exciting to see more and more people wanting to learn about our church and what we're about!
Despite the green water, 29 people were baptized!! Such a joy to watch people show that they have given their lives to Christ!
